BMO alerts: how to set up?

See how a customer can set up the Bank of Montreal account alerts

A customer can receive notifications on the mobile app, email, or SMS messages about financial operations on his banking accounts.

You will also receive a message in case of suspicious transactions on your account, for example, an incorrectly entered PIN code, as well as other financial events, like a lack of funds to pay the bank commission.

To set up his BMO alerts a customer should:

- in the mobile app:

  1. log in to the application
  2. tap More menu
  3. choose "Alerts"
  4. check your details
  5. choose "Quick Setup"
  6. select the alerts you desire to receive

- in Internet banking

  1. log in to Internet banking
  2. press "My Profile"
  3. click left menu
  4. choose "My Alerts"
  5. choose the alerts you want to get

The bank does not charge the BMO alerts.
