To fill in a CIBC cheque you should write:
- the date in the top right corner
- the name of the third party (payee or recipient) on the Pay to the order of line
- the sum next to the dollar sign and in words below the third party's name
- check all the filled information
- sign the cheque in the bottom right corner
- if you desire, you can also fill out the memo section, for example, purchase of computer equipment
