Bank of Montreal Harris enables its customers to make wire transfers within Canada and overseas at the branches or to receive money in their current accounts.

To send a transfer, you need to provide the following information to the bank manager at the branch

  1. Receiver’s account number
  2. Receiver’s name and address
  3. Name and address of the recipient's bank

To receive a transfer, simply inform the sender of your bank account details.

General BMO wire transfer information is:

  • Beneficiary Bank: Bank of Montreal
  • SWIFT BIC Code: BOFMCAM2

Routing info in the format //CC0001NNNNN where //CC0 is a standard number, 001 is BMO's digit financial institution number and N is the five-digit branch transit code.

The wire transfer fee at BMO is 0,2% of the transaction sum (min 15 CAD, max 125 CAD) + 10 CAD communication commission.

BMO receives a wire transfer fee (BMO incoming wire transfer fee) is 14 CAD for international operations. Additional commissions may be charged.

BMO wire transfer processing time is 2-5 business days.
